Adding/Removing Users

Step-by-step guide to add and remove users on the Agent Terminal. Differentiate between a Principal and Agent user type.

Updated over a month ago

It’s incredibly easy to add or remove a user from your Agent Terminal!

Adding a New User:

To add a new user, first navigate to the User Management dashboard.

You will see a list of all current Terminal users.

Next, select Invite New Team Member in the upper right-hand corner of the screen:

Note: As soon as you select this button, a pop-up will be displayed as a reminder to check the number of Terminal seats included in your subscription. Select Got It to close out this prompt:

Simply fill out the required fields with the new user’s information and select Add User once finished:

Note: You will be prompted to select the Account Type for the new user.

  • Agent: The Agent role has the ability to quote and bind applications. However, an Agent user does not have the ability to view several administrative features, like Client Quote Start or the Billing and Commissions dashboards.

  • Principal: The Principal role has full access to all Agent Terminal features. This role should be reserved for those who will be managing Users, Carrier Settings, Carrier Appointments and Billing.

The newly-added User will then receive an automated email invite from no-reply@mail.boldpenguin.com. *Make sure this User keeps an eye out for this automated email, as it could go to their Junk or Spam folder. This email will contain a link that directs the new User to the Agent Terminal to create their password so that they can begin quoting in no time!

Removing a User:

To remove an Agent Terminal User, simply navigate to the User Management Dashboard.

Select the three dots to the far right of the User you wish to remove, and select Deactivate:

You will receive a prompt asking you to confirm that you wish to deactivate the User. Select Deactivate to move forward:

The user will now show as deactivated in your user list and will no longer have access to the Terminal.
