Sub-appointment approval process & requirements

  • Approval timeline: 3-4 weeks (time can vary depending on agent responsiveness)

  • State availability: the agency must be physically domiciled in one of the following states to be considered for a sub-appointment: CT, FL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, OH, PA, and VA


Appointment considerations:

  • During the vetting stage, Utica First will hold a call with each agency to discuss appetite and production requirements before deciding to move forward with an agency.

  • Agencies located in NY are not eligible for a sub-appointment (no exceptions will be made at this time).

  • Premium/book size requirement: minimum $25K/yr
