Commission payments for policies bound through sub-appointments are facilitated by Bold Penguin. If you have a direct appointment with a carrier, you will continue to receive commissions directly from that carrier as usual.
If a policy bound through a Bold Penguin sub-appointment is later canceled, the carrier will issue a chargeback to Bold Penguin. This chargeback will then be passed on to your agency.
Chargebacks are typically deducted from your next month’s commission statement. If the chargeback amount is greater than your earned commissions, the remaining balance will be deducted from future commission payments until the full amount is recovered.
