Step 1 - Set up HawkLink
If not already in use, download and install Google Chrome. HawkLink is a Chrome extension and will not work with any other internet browser.
Log in to HawkSoft with your user credentials.
Pull up any insured or policy.
Once the selected policy has loaded in HawkSoft, click the “Website” button, which will launch Google Chrome.
After Chrome launches, you’ll be prompted to install HawkLink.
Click “Install Now” and follow the instructions to install and set up HawkLink.
Step 2 - Add a button in HawkSoft to go directly to the Bold Penguin Terminal
In HawkSoft, go to “Settings” → “General Configuration”.
Next, click on “Customize Toolbar”.
Then, click on the “New” button.
Enter the following information:
Button Title: Bold Penguin
Action Type: Website
Scope: Client & Policy
Website URL: https://bridge.boldpenguin.com/hawksoft
Icon: pick a favorite!
Press ‘OK’ to save
The Bold Penguin button automatically gets added to the end. To arrange its place on the toolbar, use the up and down arrows and then press ‘OK’ to see the button on your toolbar.
Step 3 - Connect HawkLink to your Bold Penguin Terminal
In HawkSoft, pull up any insured or policy.
Click the ‘Bold Penguin” button that you set up in step 2.
Once the webpage loads, you should see the following dialogue box:
Click ‘Accept”.
Once accepted, you’ll be able to begin using HawkLink with Bold Penguin.
Step 4 - Start prefilling applications in the Bold Penguin Terminal using HawkLink
In HawkSoft, find the policy you want to use to prefill a new application in the Bold Penguin Terminal.
Click on your “Bold Penguin” button (refer to step 2 if you do not see this button)
You’ll be directed to this page (see screenshot), where you can click the “Flood” button on the HawkLink Chrome extension, and Bold Penguin will prefill any mapped fields behind the scenes.
A success message will appear indicating how many fields were successfully prefilled in the Bold Penguin application.
Click the “Bridge to Bold Penguin” button and log in to the Bold Penguin Terminal (if you aren’t already logged in).
You’ll enter directly into a new application in the Bold Penguin Terminal. You will be able to see which fields have come over from HawkSoft by the “Prefilled by HawkSoft” indicator under each form field. You can then begin filling in appropriate blank fields.
If you want to return to previous pages to verify any prefilled information, just click on the desired page on the left side of the screen.
Continue your application as you normally would, but with fewer fields to fill out!
