Automated service order repetition based on interval
ProdSys is now launching a long-awaited feature for companies working with periodic maintenance – automatic creation of recurring order lines based on time intervals. This is particularly valuable for service companies that work according to fixed maintenance schedules.
Background
Service companies often operate with routines for maintenance that must be performed at regular intervals – for example, every 60 days. Previously, this functionality was missing in ProdSys, which led to manual work to follow up and create new orders for each maintenance interval .
How
The new feature now makes it possible to specify a recurring maintenance interval directly on the order line. This is done by entering the desired number of days in the new Interval (days) column .
The order line and items must have a Scheduled Start Date and include labor and any materials used on the job. When this order line is complete and set to 100% in Station Progress , the system will automatically copy the entire line and create a new line with a new Scheduled Start Date based on today's date + the interval value.
To ensure that the maintenance ends up on a working day, the system retrieves the closest available working day from the station calendar.
Benefits
Reduces manual work when following up on fixed maintenance plans
Ensures that new service assignments are automatically scheduled on the correct dates
Increases precision and reliability in service logistics
Supports more predictable and efficient operations
This feature is a big step forward for service-oriented businesses using ProdSys and provides better support for ongoing maintenance agreements and SLA commitments. Activate the feature today by starting to use the Interval column on order lines!
Update the sales price in the article calculation screen
ProdSys continues to improve the user experience with practical and time-saving features. Now, a new feature is introduced in Item Calculations that makes it possible to update sales prices directly – and have the margin rate (GM%) automatically updated in real time.
Background
Many users have requested an easier way to simulate and adjust sales prices to see how this affects the coverage ratio. Previously, this had to be calculated manually, which was often time-consuming and prone to errors.
The solution
In the article calculations at:
https://app.prodsys.com/#/calculations/articles
, we have now made the sales price editable .
When the user changes the sales price, the system automatically runs the following formula to calculate the new margin:
GM% = (Sales price – Purchase price) / Sales price
The new GM% value is inserted directly into the overview, so the user immediately sees the consequences of the price adjustment.
Benefits
Fast simulation of margin changes when adjusting prices
Fewer manual calculations and higher accuracy
More flexible pricing and control over profitability
This feature makes it easier than ever to optimize price calculations directly in the system – an important tool for both sales and purchasing managers.
Try the feature today on your article calculations and get full control over your margins with one click!
