The Inventory on cut-off date screen shows the stock balance and stock value you had on a chosen date. You select a cut-off date, and the system calculates how your inventory looked at that exact point in time.
The feature is typically used for accounting, stocktaking, and end-of-period reconciliation, where you need an accurate snapshot of the stock value on a specific date. It is useful for warehouse managers, accountants, and managers.
Prerequisites
Before you use the screen, make sure that:
You have access to the Logistic module.
Warehouses and articles are set up and in use.
Inventory movements (receipts, withdrawals, orders, stocktakes) have been registered for the period you want to view.
Step-by-step
Log in to ProdSys at app.prodsys.com.
Open Logistic in the menu and select Inventory cut-off. 👉 Open the screen in ProdSys
Choose a Cut-Off Date. This is the date the balance is calculated for.
Select a warehouse in the dropdown, or leave All Warehouses to see everything together.
Click Show all to load the balance.
Read the balance and value in the Inventory on cut-off date table. The grand total appears at the bottom.
Click an article to see the transactions behind the figures in the Movements panel at the bottom.
How the figures are calculated
Quantity and value are based on the inventory movements up to and including the chosen cut-off date. The value is calculated using the WAC (weighted average cost) at that point in time. This means Total Value reflects the actual stock value as it was on the date you selected – not today's cost price.
