Ask AI: analyze your data directly in ProdSys
Meet the new AI Assistant in ProdSys. You can now ask questions about your data in plain language and get instant summaries, breakdowns, and statistics – without exporting anything.
Open it from the three-dot menu → Ask AI in the table. Type a question like "Give me a summary of the invoices in the period", and the assistant answers based on the data in front of you. You can ask in Norwegian or English, start new chats, and revisit earlier ones.
The assistant uses your own AI provider – ChatGPT or Claude – so you stay in control of your setup.
Why it stands out
Unlike many business systems that either lack AI or lock you into a single built-in engine, ProdSys lets you bring your own AI. You choose ChatGPT or Claude, keep control of your own setup and data flow, and ask questions right where your data lives – no exporting to spreadsheets or pasting into separate AI tools. It's analysis on your terms, built into the system you already use every day.
You also decide exactly what gets analyzed. Because you set up the table first – choosing the columns and the number of records – only the data you select is sent to the AI. That gives you three clear advantages:
More control over your data – you decide what is shared, and sensitive columns can be left out.
More relevant, accurate answers – the assistant focuses on exactly the data that matters, with no noise.
Faster and lower cost – less data means quicker responses and lower usage on your own AI plan.
The feature is available in the order overview to start with, and will be rolled out to all large table views over time.
New: NVIT data sent to freight automatically
ProdSys can now transfer details from your order lines to your freight provider as NVIT data – the per-item customs information required for Norwegian goods in transit.
What is NVIT? Norwegian goods in transit (NVIT) is when goods are shipped from one place in Norway to another via Sweden or Finland. Because the goods temporarily leave the country, customs need details about each item – and new EU requirements now ask for more information than before.
With the new Add NVITs to Freight function, ProdSys sends this straight from your order lines to the freight API:
Quantity, HS number, and product description
Gross weight (net weight optional)
Country of origin, currency, and value (optional)
This removes manual entry and helps you meet the new transit requirements.
The feature is available through the Cargonizer freight integration.
