Updated over 3 months ago

The Order Statistics screen in ProdSys is a versatile tool that allows you to build customized statistics from all order types at both the order and line levels. This feature utilizes a crosstab grid, enabling you to analyze data using fields from orders and order lines. Additionally, the crosstab table can be visualized graphically above the table, making it easier to interpret data. All fields can be filtered, sorted, and the grid can be saved and shared with others.

This step-by-step guide will show you how to effectively use the Order Statistics screen to create insightful reports and enhance decision-making.

Step 2: Choose Fields for the Crosstab Grid

ProdSys allows you to build a customized crosstab grid by selecting fields from both order and order line data. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Period: Select the Order date period in the top of the page

  2. Open the Field Selector:

    • Locate the field selector icon on the right side of the screen.
This panel contains all the available fields you can use to build your statistics.
All fields : List of available fields from the order

Row Fields: Field placed in the Row section

Column fields: Fields placed in the Column section

Data Fields: Fields placed in the grid section

Filter Fields: Field only used for filtering

  3. Select Fields to Include:

    • Drag and drop fields from the field selector into the crosstab grid. You can include fields such as:

      • Customer

      • Order Date

      • Delivery Date

      • Product Number / Article Number

      • Net Price

      • Quantity

      • Actual Cost

      • Planned Cost

      • Difference (Diff)

    • You can add as many fields as necessary to build the desired statistic.

Step 3: Arrange the Crosstab Grid Layout

  1. Drag Fields to Rows and Columns:

    • Drag the selected fields to the “Rows” or “Columns” area of the crosstab grid to define how the data is grouped and displayed. For example:

      • Drag Customer to Rows to group data by customer.

      • Drag Product Number to Columns to display data by product.

  2. Add Measures to the Crosstab:

    • Choose numeric fields (like Net Price, Actual Cost, Quantity) and drag them to the “Data fields” area to be used as measures. These fields will display aggregated data, such as totals or averages.

Step 4: Filter and Sort Data in the Crosstab Grid

  1. Apply Filters:

    • Use the filter options to narrow down your data set. Click on the filter icon next to each field to apply filters.

    • For example, filter by a specific Customer or Order Date range to focus on a particular subset of data.

  2. Grouping:
If added more than on field in each of the fields you can Expand or Collapse the grouping by selecting the Expand or Collaps buttons in top of the table.

  1. Sort Data:

    • Click on the column headers to sort data in ascending or descending order. Sorting can be applied to any field to organize data for easier analysis.

Step 5: Visualize the Crosstab Data Graphically

  1. Graphical View:

    • Above the crosstab grid the graph will be generated according to the grid

Step 6: Save and Share Your Customized Crosstab Grid

  1. Save the Grid Layout:

    • Click on the “Action menu” "Three dots" button at the right of the screen to save your customized crosstab grid. You can name the layout for future reference and use.

  2. Share the Grid:

    • To share your saved layout with other team members, click on the “Share” button. You can select specific users or groups to share the layout with, allowing for collaborative analysis.

Step 7: Export Data for Further Analysis

  1. Export the Crosstab Data:

    • Click on the “Export” button (usually found in the action menu of the grid) to download the data in your preferred format (e.g., Excel, PDF).

    • Exporting data allows you to perform further analysis outside of ProdSys or share reports with external stakeholders.
