How to create, edit and use labels in ProdSys

ProdSys provides the ability to efficiently create and customize labels for various business needs. Labels are often used for marking products, inventory, shipments, and documents, and they can be customized to meet specific design, content, and format requirements. This guide explains how to create both standard and customized labels using the ProdSys interface:

  1. Access Labels

  2. Create New Labels

    • Create New Label: Click "+ New" to start with a blank template.

    • Enter the name of the label.

    • Select type: Article or Order Line.

    • Click + New.

    • Click + New on Report design.

    • Enter the label's name.

    • Check the box for Standard.

    • Set the label's Width and Height.

    • Add Fields: Add text and data fields from the table by using the icon on the far-left toolbar named "Add variable."

    • Add other objects like logos, images, etc.

    • Save: Choose Save in the bottom right corner.

    • Test the label: Open the screen that contains the label, go to the Action menu (Three dots), and select the report and label you created.

  3. Customization of Labels ProdSys offers flexibility to customize labels as needed. You can modify the design, content, language, and format to ensure that the labels meet your specific requirements.

    • Open label: Navigate to the Report Module: From the side menu, go to "System / Settings / Reports"

    • Select Label: Go to the label on the list, choose the Action menu (Three dots), and select Edit.

    • Customize Content: Edit fields like product information, price, barcodes, and batch numbers.

    • Set Up Format: Adjust the label's size and layout based on the desired label size.

  4. Printing Labels Once the label is created or customized, you can print labels directly from ProdSys.

    • Open: Open the screen that contains the label, go to the Action menu (Three dots), and select the report and label you created.

    • Preview: The label opens in Preview.

    • Print: Select the Print icon.

    • Choose Printer.

    • Select Quantity: Choose how many labels you want to print.

    • Print: Select Print.

  5. Multilingual Support Labels in ProdSys can be set up in multiple languages, which is especially useful for international businesses requiring labels in different languages. You can easily select the desired language for the label.

  6. Using Labels Across Modules Labels can be linked to various modules in ProdSys, including products, order lines, inventory, and shipments. This ensures that you always have the correct labeling on products and documents, no matter where the labels are used in the system.

ProdSys thus provides a user-friendly tool for creating and customizing labels, streamlining labeling processes, and ensuring accurate information for products and workflows.
