Step-by-Step Guide for Manual Time Registration in ProdSys

Updated over 3 months ago

Manual time registration in ProdSys allows users to manually enter the hours they have worked on specific tasks, orders, and projects. This is a useful feature when automatic tracking is not possible, or corrections need to be made to existing time entries. This guide will walk you through the process of manually registering time in ProdSys.

Step 1: Log In to ProdSys

  • Start by logging into your ProdSys account using your credentials.

Step 2: Open the Time Registration Form

Step 3: Fill in Employee Details

  • Employee: The system automatically fills in the name of the logged-in employee, but you can manually select another employee if you have admin access.

Step 4: Select the Date and Time

  • Date: Set the date of the time entry by selecting from the calendar or clicking "Today" for the current day.

  • Start Time: Enter the start time manually or click Now to use the current time.

  • End Time: If you want to enter an end time, either set it manually or click Now to capture the current time. You can also leave this field blank and fill in the total hours later.

Step 5: Add Task and Time Code Information

  • Time Code: Select the appropriate time code for this entry, such as "Normaltime" or any other available time code relevant to your task.

  • Order: Select the order number associated with the time entry. This will only show orders that are selected for manual time registration on the order line level.

  • Line: Choose the specific line from the order that you worked on.

  • Station: Select the workstation where the task was performed.

  • Task: Choose the task performed for this entry. This helps categorize the type of work done.

Step 6: Additional Details (Optional)

  • Equipment: If specific equipment was used, select it from the dropdown menu.

  • Allowance: Add any applicable allowances for this task.

  • Company and Project: If this work is part of a specific company or project, select the relevant options from the dropdown menu.

  • Notes: Add any additional notes or comments that provide context for the time entry.

Step 7: Save Time Entry

  • Once all fields are filled out, click Ok to save the time entry.

  • If you need to cancel the operation, click Cancel to discard the entry.

Tips for Using Manual Time Registration:

  • Accurate Timekeeping: Always ensure that start and end times are accurately filled to avoid discrepancies.

  • Detailed Notes: Use the notes field to add relevant information, especially if the task involved unexpected issues or important details.

  • Task Organization: Be sure to select the correct task, order, and line to ensure that your time entry is categorized correctly within the system.

By following these steps, you can easily manage and track your work hours in ProdSys. This helps ensure that all hours worked are properly recorded and linked to the correct projects and tasks.
