Using the Station Progress to Start, Switch, and End Task Time Registration

Updated over 2 months ago

The Station Progress page in ProdSys allows you to track and manage your work tasks efficiently. It enables employees to start and stop time registrations for specific tasks, switch between tasks, and end their workday—all from within the action menu on the line. This guide will show you how to use these features effectively.

Step 1: Access the Station Progress Page

  1. Log in to ProdSys: Begin by logging into your ProdSys account.

  2. Navigate to Station Progress: Go to the main menu, select "Progress," and choose "Station Progress." You will see a list of all tasks assigned to your selected station.

Step 2: Filter job list

You can filter jobs in 3 ways:

  1. Select a station: Choose a station you are working at in the top menu.

  2. Select an order: Choose an order you are working on in the top menu.

  3. Select my jobs: Check "my jobs," in the top menu and only the jobs you are allocated to will be shown .

Step 3: Start Work on a Specific Task

  1. Select a Task: Identify the task you wish to start from the list.

  2. Open the Action Menu: Click on the three dots on the left side of the task line to open the Action Menu (as shown in the image).

  3. Start Work: In the Action Menu, click Start Work (highlighted in yellow in the image). This action will begin the time registration for the selected task.

Step 4: Switch to a Different Task

  1. Select Another Task: If you need to switch to a different task during your shift, locate the task you want to switch to.

  2. Open the Action Menu: Again, click on the three dots on the new task’s line to open the Action Menu.

  3. Start Work: Click Start Work on the new task. The system will stop the time registration for the previous task and begin tracking time for the new one. This ensures that time is properly logged for each task individually.

Step 5: End the Day

  1. End Workday: If you are done for the day, you can use the same process for the last task you worked on by stopping or completing it, ensuring that your time for the day is fully logged.

  2. Open the Action Menu: Again, click on the three dots on the new task’s line to open the Action Menu.

  3. End Workday: Click Stop Work on the new task. The system will stop the time registration for the task.

Additional Features in the Action Menu

  • Reports: View task details, including order details and labels.

  • Register Progress: Manually input progress if needed.

  • Documents: Access any linked documents related to the task.

  • Order: Open the order linked to the task, see pick lists, or view other related information.

  • New Activity: Create a new activity related to the task.

Tips for Using Station Progress Efficiently:

  • Use "Show My Task": If you want to filter tasks that are assigned specifically to you, check the "Show my task" box.

  • Switch Between Tasks Quickly: Use the Start Work feature to seamlessly switch between tasks without losing track of time.

  • Keep Progress Updated: Make sure to update the task status to either complete or incomplete to maintain accurate records.
