A Station represents a machine or work area in production, such as a CNC machine or an assembly station. Each station can have its own calendar and hourly rate, which are used in article calculation. Under each station, you can also define Tasks, which are specific work operations linked to the article calculation. A station can have multiple tasks linked to it.
Navigate to System and select Settings, then Stations to open this screen.

Step 1: Create a new station
Click the + button in the Stations table to add a new row. Fill in the fields as described below.
Step 2: Fill in the station fields
Workstation: The name of the machine or work area.
Sort: A number that determines the display order of the station.
Calendar: The calendar that controls the station's availability/working hours.
Hourly Rate: The hourly cost of the station, used in calculation.
Color: The color representing the station visually, e.g. in progress views.
Tip: Use Color consistently across stations to make them easier to distinguish in progress and planning views.
Step 3: Create tasks linked to a station
Click the + button in the Tasks table to add a new task under the selected station.
Name: The name of the task.
Description: A short description of what the task involves.
Sort: A number that determines the display order of the task.
Material Cost: Indicates whether the task should include material cost in the calculation. This field is used for calculating materials, not hours.
Note: Tasks are linked to the article calculation, so it's important that the tasks reflect the actual work operations performed at the station to ensure the calculation is accurate.
Conclusion
Stations and their related tasks form the basis for accurate calculation of hours and material costs in ProdSys. By setting up workstations with the correct calendar, hourly rate, and tasks, you ensure that article calculations reflect actual production costs.
