Description of the Order line Action menu

Updated over 2 months ago

The Action menu on the Order Lines page (marked in red in the image) provides several functions that allow users to manage, analyze, and customize order line data. Below are the explanations of each action:
โ€‹

  1. Column Chooser:

    • Allows you to customize the columns visible in the order lines table. You can show or hide certain fields to display the most relevant data for your work.

  2. Layout:

    • Saves or loads predefined layouts of the table view, which can include specific column arrangements or filters. This is useful if you regularly work with a certain view or format.

  3. Change Ratio:

    • Adjusts the ratio between the upper and lower parts of the screen. This allows you to prioritize Lines or Articles in height.

  4. Order Article Connections:

    • Allows you to manage or view relationships between articles in the order. This could include linking articles to other products or services that are related or dependent on each other.

  5. Recalculate Selected:

    • Recalculates values for the selected rows. This is useful if any data in the selected lines needs updating, such as recalculating totals, prices, or quantities after changes.

  6. Recalculate All Dependencies:

    • Creates dependencies between tasks, such as (Finish-Start), based on the Activity sequence (number) and Activity dependency, such as (Finish-Start), for the entire order. This will be visible in the Gantt chart screen afterwards.

  7. Reports:

    • Provides options to generate different reports / labels based on the order lines.

  8. Import:

    • Allows you to import data related to the order lines. For instance, you can import bulk order data from an external file or system into the order lines table.

  9. Export All Data to Excel:

    • Exports the entire dataset from the order lines table into an Excel file for further analysis, reporting, or sharing.

  10. Export All Data to CSV:

    • Similar to the Excel export, but saves the data in CSV format, which is a simpler text-based format commonly used for data transfers.

  11. Reset:

    • Resets the current view to the default settings. This can be useful if you've applied filters or made changes to the view and want to return to the original format.

  12. Translate:

    • Automatically translates the contents of the table to a different language, if needed.

  13. Delete Selected:

    • Deletes the selected rows from the order lines. Use this with caution, as it permanently removes the data related to those lines.

These functions provide extensive flexibility and control over how order line data is managed, viewed, and analyzed within the ProdSys system.
