Step 1: Create Custom Fields to Store Data

  1. Go to Account Settings > Employee Fields.

  2. Create a new tab at the top or use an existing one.

  3. Add a new group (e.g. Pension Information.)

  4. Add fields (e.g. Pension Plan Type, Pension Provider)

Once you’ve created and populated these fields, the data will appear in each employee's profile (either visible, editable or hidden from them based on your permissions) and become available for reporting.

Step 2: Build a Custom Dashboard

  1. Navigate to Dashboards from the left-hand menu.

  2. Create a new Dashboard, and give it a name (e.g., Pension Information).

  3. Optionally add a description.

  4. Click Add Widget > Add Report.

Add Custom Reports

Use the custom fields you've created to build personalized reports, e.g.

  • Pull employee names from the Profile section.

  • Use the Work section to include custom fields like Pension Plan Type, Pension Provider.

  • Add the report to the dashboard and name it (e.g. Pension Details)

You can export this report or share it:

  • Click Share.

  • Toggle on Share Dashboard.

  • Copy the link and send it to others.

Please note that shared dashboards are view-only.

Step 3: Create Insight-Based Dashboards (e.g., Headcount)

For deeper data analysis, create insight widgets:

  1. Create a new dashboard and name it (e.g., Headcount Overview).

  2. Click Add Widget > Insight.

  3. Choose an insight category like Headcount, Joiners, or Tenure.

Example: Headcount Over Time

  • Select Headcount to see total employees.

  • Adjust the date range (e.g., last year, last 14 days).

  • Choose how to display the data (bar chart, table, etc.).

  • Click Add Insight.

Add Breakdown Filters

  • Break down headcount by Office, Work Status, Team, etc.

  • Filter individual insights separately from the dashboard-wide filters for more targeted views.

View Insight Details

Click on any insight to see details such as Employee names, Teams, Job roles.

You can also:

  • Filter by time frame, gender, salary type, and more.

  • Share insight dashboards with stakeholders (view only).

Additional Notes

  • Dashboards refresh every 20 minutes, so newly added or updated custom field data will appear after the next refresh.

  • Only users with Super Admin roles can make edits to dashboards.
