Slice integration

Integrating Shapes with Slice allows you to securely sync employee and equity data between two platforms, removing the need for manual updates and reducing the risk of inconsistent records across systems.

All Slice Admins with correct permissions can set up the integration in four simple steps.

Important note: Data synced from Shapes is based on the permissions of the user generating the refresh token. If the user does not have access to specific data in Shapes, that data will not be synced to Slice.

How to set up the integration:

Step 1: Enter Slice’s HRIS Integration page and start the integration

In Slice, navigate to the HRIS Integration page and click Add HRIS Integration.

Step 2: Select Shapes as the HRIS provider

From the list of available HRIS integrations, find and select Shapes.

Step 3: Enter your Shapes refresh token

Follow the instructions provided in Slice to retrieve your Shapes refresh token from your Shapes account, paste it into the field, and click Next to complete the connection.

Step 4: Configure Stakeholder Sync and Equity Sync

Once connected, you can navigate to Stakeholder Sync or Equity Sync in Slice to enable syncing, map relevant fields, and configure sync behavior based on the data provided by Slice.

And you're all set!

From now on, employee and equity data from Shapes can be automatically synced to Slice based on your selected configuration.

What data gets synced automatically?

The integration allows syncing of employee and equity-related data from Shapes to Slice, based on the sync settings and field mappings you configure in Slice.
