The Google Workspace integration for Shapes automates your user management by synchronizing employee data directly to your Google Workspace directory once every 24 hours.

How it Works

The synchronization process is designed to be a seamless, one-way data flow from Shapes to Google Workspace. This ensures your directory remains updated based on your primary records in Shapes.

  • One-way Sync: Changes made in Shapes are pushed to Google Workspace.

  • Daily Updates: The sync runs automatically once per day.

  • Lifecycle Management: The integration supports creating new users, updating existing profiles, and suspending employees as needed.

Supported Data Fields

The following employee attributes are synchronized during the daily update:

  • Full Names

  • Email

  • Job Titles

  • Departments

  • Manager Information

Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to authorize and enable the integration:

  1. Navigate to Account Settings > Integrations > Google Workspace.

  2. Upload your Google Service Account JSON key.

  3. Enter the email address of your Google Workspace administrator.
