How to Send Public or Direct Club Assignment Requests
Updated over a week ago

Clubs must send a club assignment request to individuals for a membership to be connected to their club.

Determine how you would like to send the request:

  • Public link - Anyone with the link can purchase a membership and be assigned to your club. Participants do not need to be a member of your directory.

  • Direct invite - A member must be in your directory. This allows you to control who is invited and view/revoke invitations as needed.

Send a Public Assignment Link

  1. Navigate to SportsEngine HQ.

  2. From the left navigation menu, click the name of the "Parent Org Name" > Memberships.

  3. On the Memberships page, under Public Club Assignment, click Generate an Open link.

  4. Click Copy.

  5. Share with participants as desired (email, website, etc.).

    • The system determines the appropriate membership based on their profile and provided data.

Send a Direct Assignment Request

Make sure that the members are in your directory. If not, add the member(s) to the directory or import member(s) before continuing.

  1. Navigate to SportsEngine HQ.

  2. From the left navigation menu, click the name of the "Parent Org Name" > Memberships.

  3. On the Memberships page, under Direct Club Assignment, click Send, view, remind, or revoke club assignments.

  4. The system sends assignments to the selected individuals and determines the appropriate membership based on the data provided.

    • Add additional recipients/groups by checking the box(es).

  5. Click Send.

  6. If desired, customize the subject and the message. When complete, click Send.

  7. Member(s) will receive an "Accept your Assignment Request from 'your club's name," where they can click Accept Assignment.

    • Members can also access their assignment requests in MySE on the Home tab under Club Assignment Requests.

    • If the individual does not already have a membership purchased, they will be directed to purchase a membership before the association is complete.
