The features mentioned in this article require a Model Governance license at the account level. All account users will then be able to view Reports.

Reports

An all-in-one project information portal in HTML format for end-users with searchable object details, descriptions, and references. Reports offer a sleek interface for finding and navigating between related project assets.

Accessing Reports

Reports can be accessed from the projects Dashboard or the DB Documentation page of an individual project.

From the Dashboard

From the project Dashboard, click the three-dot menu to the right of any project and click on "Report page" to open the Report in a new browser tab.

From DB Documentation

From DB Documentation, click the "Report page" icon to open the Report in a new browser tab.

Searching

Project assets and their various attributes are searchable from within the Reports page.

In the search bar at the top of the page, enter any term to search across the entire project—including columns, descriptions, Governance fields, and field values!

Navigating between project objects

Users can navigate between related project objects by clicking on them in the "Related objects" section. Related objects include things like:

  • Tables linked through physical or virtual relationships

  • Flagged and Tagged objects

  • Fields and field values

Use Reports in the SqlDBM Confluence Integration

Model Governance users with Standard Enterprise licenses can use the SqlDBM integration with Confluence to embed Reports on Confluence pages. Visit the Confluence Integration article here to learn more about the connecting and embedding process.
