Notifications keep you informed about project activity, orders, deliveries, invoices, and messages so you can act quickly without constantly checking individual records.
Overview
Notifications provide real-time visibility into what is happening across the projects and records you are involved in. They surface key updates directly in the blue navigation bar so you can stay informed without navigating away from your current work.
Notifications reflect your role, project access, and watcher settings. You will only see updates that are relevant to you.
Who Can Do This
All SubBase users can access notifications.
Notifications are available to every role in SubBase. The specific notifications you receive depend on your project access and watcher settings.
Before You Start
Before using notifications, keep the following in mind:
You must be logged into SubBase
Notifications are tied to your individual account
Visibility is controlled by project access and watcher settings
Steps to Access Notifications
Step 1: Open the Notifications menu
From the blue navigation bar → click the Notifications bell icon
Step 2: Review your notifications
A dropdown opens showing your most recent notifications
Notifications are listed in reverse chronological order
Unread notifications are visually highlighted
Read notifications appear muted
Types of Notifications You May Receive
Notifications can include updates such as:
Project activity and status changes
New or updated Orders and RFQs
Delivery confirmations or reported delivery issues
Invoice assignments, approvals, or status changes
Material request submissions or fulfillment updates
Mentions in comments or internal messages
The exact mix of notifications depends on what you are involved in and watching.
How to Interact With Notifications
Open a notification
Click any notification to open the related record, such as an Order, RFQ, Invoice, or Material Request
Notifications are automatically marked as read when opened
Review unread notifications
Unread notifications remain highlighted until opened
Dismiss notifications
You can clear or dismiss notifications individually from the list
Manage Email Notification Preferences
You can adjust how SubBase sends notification emails from your personal settings.
Step 1: Open User Settings
From the blue navigation bar → click your name → open the User Profile Menu → select User Settings
Step 2: Go to notification settings
From User Settings → open the Settings sub-tab
Step 3: Choose your email preference
Under Notifications, select how often you want to receive notification emails
In-app notifications always remain available from the Notifications bell.
