Privacy & custody (important)
PORTFOLIO is a self-custody wallet; only you can access your keys anytime. Your positions are public on-chain and displayed publicly in the app.
UGLYCASH doesn’t have access to your private keys. You have custody of and are responsible for your assets. Secured by your Apple or Google login to make self-custody convenient as it is safe.
Also:
Only PORTFOLIO positions are public.
Your eUSD balance remains completely private (and is not self-custody).
Real names are now private. Only your uglytag is public.
This updates how your name appears on sobrecitos, peer-to-peer, activities, search results, and more.
In the next few weeks, we may allow current users to change their uglytag once (based on user requests), since some tags are linked to real names.
