Please note that sharing Google Drive files between customers and writers is restricted on our platform, as it violates our Terms & Conditions regarding the protection of personal information. If you need a writer to access information from a Google file, please choose an alternative method that’s convenient for you from the 📝 How to Add Extra Instructions or Attach Files to My Order? and Can’t upload files. The file is too large/unsupported on the platform articles.
Meanwhile, you can follow the explanations below to share a Google file directly with your professor.
To share a Google Doc with your teacher, head over to the Share button, located at the top right-hand corner of the Google Doc interface.
If the document is new, it will initially be set to 'Private to only me.' If you haven't named the file yet, this is the perfect time to do so. This option becomes available after clicking the ‘Share’ button, provided the file is unnamed.
After naming the file, the next step is to make it viewable by others via a shareable link.
The default access setting for the file is 'Restricted,' which you'll need to change. Click on the 'Restricted' option and change it to 'Anyone with the link.'
Next, decide how viewers can interact with the file. Hover over the 'Viewer' button to select whether the viewer can simply view the document, comment on it, or grant full editing access.
Remember, giving someone Editor rights allows them to modify or delete content, so it might be best to set it to Commenter.
Once these settings are in place, click the 'Copy link' button. The link will automatically copy and be ready for you to paste and share with your intended recipient.
Finally, click 'Done' and send the link to your Google Doc.
