What is an A Record?

An A Record is a type of DNS (Domain Name System) record that specifies the IP address associated with a domain name. It is used to point a domain or subdomain to a specific server or website.

How to configure A Records?

Google Domains will automatically create new resource records for you. However, you also have the option to directly modify them to add custom components or make changes to ones that were set up automatically.

Refer to the Google Support article below:

Once the steps in the link above are completed. Please send an email to admin@hotprospector.com, and cc jonathan@hotprospector.com and chloe@hotprospector.com.

Please include the following in the email:

Subject: HP WL Domain Final Configurations | (sampledomain.com)

  1. Domain: (sampledomain.com)

  2. Name: (Nathan Support)

Final Tips

Remember to double-check the IP address and host entries to ensure accuracy before saving the changes. It's also a good practice to keep a record of the original DNS settings in case you need to revert the changes.
