How Do I Enroll in an Instructor-Led Course?

Written by Andrew McLaughlin

Overview

Instructor-led courses allow students to participate in scheduled classes led by an instructor.

Enrolling in a Course

  1. Log in to your AAPC account.

  2. Open Purchases.

  3. Locate your course purchase.

  4. Complete any required enrollment steps.

  5. Select an available start date if prompted.

Enrollment Confirmation

After enrollment is completed, you will receive a welcome email with login credentials, including your username and password. Instructor-led courses typically appear in your Learning Portal about one week before the course start date. Be sure to check your email, including spam/junk folders, for updates.

Contacting Support

If you’ve followed these steps and still cannot access your course, consider reaching out to the support team for further assistance. Provide details about your issue, including any emails or vouchers you’ve received, to expedite the resolution process.

Common Enrollment Issues

  1. Voucher Does Not Show Enrollment Options

    • If your voucher does not list enrollment options, it’s possible that the course start date has already been set. Once your enrollment is processed, you will receive an email with course details, including the start date and access instructions. Be sure to check your email, including spam/junk folders, for updates.

  2. Course Not Listed After Voucher Redemption

    • Instructor-led course information is not displayed on the public website. After redeeming your voucher, you will receive emails with login details for your Genius account before the course start date. Use these credentials to sign in and access your course.

Accessing Your Course

  1. Check Your Email

    • After purchasing a course, you will receive a welcome email with login instructions, including your username and password. Use these credentials to sign in and access your course.

  2. Start Your Course

    • Once logged in, you can begin your course. The first assignment is often a reading assignment, and many courses include online textbooks (PDFs) that you can access immediately, even if physical materials haven’t arrived.
