When does renewal take effect?

Renewals update your membership status and help maintain access to eligible member benefits. Membership is renewed annually and remains active for one year from the renewal date. Members have a 90-day grace period after their renewal due date to complete the renewal process. If the membership is not renewed within the grace period, certifications may be revoked, and the member will lose access to AAPC benefits.

Membership renewal includes a 90-day grace period. During this time, credential visibility, fees, and certification status may be affected depending on how long the membership remains expired. If renewal is not completed before the grace period ends, additional reinstatement requirements may apply.
