Trouble Signing In to Your AAPC Account

Written by Andrew McLaughlin

If you're having trouble signing in to your AAPC account, there are a few common causes and simple steps you can try before contacting Customer Care.

Common Login Issues

Most login issues are caused by one of the following:

  • Using an email address instead of your username

  • An outdated saved password in your browser

  • A forgotten password

  • A forgotten username

Reset Your Password

If you've forgotten your password:

  1. Select Forgot Password on the AAPC sign-in page.

  2. Enter your registered email address and submit the request.

  3. Check your email inbox for the password reset link. If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder.

  4. Follow the instructions in the email to set a new password.

  5. Use your new password to sign back into your account.

Troubleshooting Password Reset Email Issues

  • Ensure that the email address you entered is the one registered with your AAPC account.

  • If you do not receive the reset email, verify that your registered email address is accurate. Update it if necessary and retry the password reset process.

Recover Your Username

If you've forgotten your username, use the username recovery option available on the sign-in page.

You may be asked to verify account information associated with your membership.

First-Time Login or Administrator Assistance

  • If you are logging in for the first time and cannot access your account, an account administrator can reset your password. Once reset, log in and change your password in the "Profile and Preferences" section by clicking your name in the top-right corner of the website.

Check Saved Browser Credentials

Sometimes web browsers automatically fill in outdated login information.

Before attempting to sign in:

  • Clear any saved username or password entries.

  • Re-enter your login information manually.

  • Verify that your browser is not using an old password.

Verify You're Using the Correct Credentials

Many members attempt to sign in using their email address when their account is associated with a separate username.

If a password reset does not resolve the issue, verify that you're using the correct account credentials.

Verifying Account Details for Recovery

  • If you are unable to reset your password via email, you may need to verify your account details. This could include confirming your physical address or other identifying information. Once verified, you will receive instructions or temporary login credentials to regain access to your account.

Still Unable to Sign In?

If you have already:

  • Reset your password

  • Recovered your username

  • Verified your browser is not using outdated credentials

  • Verify your account details, such as your physical address or other identifying information, to receive temporary login credentials if needed.

and you still cannot access your account, contact Customer Care for additional assistance.
