Candidates may change their exam book selection between printed books and eBooks before their scheduled exam.
Deadline to Change Book Types
Book selections may be changed up to 48 hours before the scheduled exam appointment. After that time, changes are no longer available. Important: If you purchased your exam before February 2025, the eBook option becomes available only 48 hours before the exam date.
How to Change Your Selection
Sign in to your AAPC account.
Navigate to Courses and Exams.
Locate your scheduled exam.
Select the available book option.
Save your updated selection.
What Happens After I Change My Selection?
After changing your book format to eBook, refresh your account page and reprint your exam confirmation. If needed, you can request the confirmation to be resent via Meazure Learning or email the international exams team.

Why isn't the eBook option appearing in my account?
The eBook option may not appear immediately after scheduling your exam. This delay occurs because your exam appointment needs to sync with your AAPC account, which may take up to 24 hours. If the option still does not appear after 24 hours, contact the AAPC exam team for assistance.
Can I use the eBook for studying?
No, electronic code books provided with the eBook option are for use during the exam only and are not available for study or practice outside the exam environment.
I am less than 48 hours from my exam. Can I still change book types?
No. Book selections cannot be changed within 48 hours of the scheduled exam.
What if I selected eBooks but arrive with printed books?
Candidates should use the book format selected for the exam. Exam configurations are based on the selected format.
Can Customer Support change my selection?
If you are unable to update the selection yourself and are still outside the 48-hour window, contact Customer Support for assistance. Exam configuration changes may require review by the Exam Operations team.
