Am I Eligible for Reinstatement?
You may be eligible if your certification was canceled within the last three years.
If your certification has been canceled for more than three years, reinstatement may not be available and retesting may be required.
How Do I Request Reinstatement?
If Your Certification Was Canceled Within the Last Year
Log in to your AAPC account.
Navigate to My Account.
Select Credential Reinstatement Request.
Complete and submit the request.
If Your Certification Was Canceled More Than One Year Ago
Submit a reinstatement request through the AAPC reinstatement process. Your request will be reviewed by the reinstatement team.
What Happens After I Submit My Request?
Your request will be reviewed and you will receive an email outlining:
Any required fees
Outstanding membership requirements
Required CEUs
Applicable deadlines
Please watch your email carefully, as all reinstatement requirements will be communicated through the review process.
What Fees Apply?
Depending on your situation, reinstatement may require:
A $200 reinstatement fee
Payment of outstanding membership dues
Any other applicable fees associated with your account
All fees are reviewed as part of the reinstatement process.
Will I Need CEUs?
Possibly.
If CEUs are required, the reinstatement team will provide the number of CEUs needed and any associated deadlines after reviewing your request.
