When Do Nominations Occur?
Local Chapters generally begin officer nominations in August and conduct elections no later than October 31.
Who Can Be Nominated?
Nominees must:
Be in good standing with AAPC.
Maintain an active AAPC membership.
Be assigned to the chapter in which they seek election.
Demonstrate involvement with the chapter and its activities.
Certain officer positions have additional credential requirements.
Can Members Nominate Themselves?
Yes.
Self-nominations are permitted and encouraged.
How Does Someone Express Interest In Running?
Members interested in serving as an officer should contact their current chapter leadership.
Chapter officers coordinate the nomination and election process for their chapter and provide the appropriate election materials and instructions.
Is There A Universal AAPC Nomination Form?
Election tools and nomination processes may be managed at the chapter level.
If a member or officer cannot locate the nomination process for their chapter, they should contact their chapter officers or the Local Chapter Team for assistance.
