AAPC exams can be canceled and rescheduled for no associated fee more than 14 days in advance of the appointment. Between 14 days and 2 days in advance of the appointment, the fee is $25. The fee is paid online to Meazure Learning. Candidates cannot reschedule or cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled exam date. Once the rescheduling fee is paid, your exam voucher will be updated in your account within 24-48 hours. If the update does not appear immediately, please allow up to 48 hours for processing.
This policy applies to both Live Remote Proctor (LRP) and testing-center exams. Additionally, any attempt to reschedule within 48 hours will be blocked by the system, and the exam will be marked as a no-show, resulting in a forfeited attempt.
To reschedule your AAPC exam:
Log in to your Meazure Learning account.
Navigate to the scheduling section.

No Shows: If you do not appear for your examination, you will be considered a no-show and forfeit your exam attempt. To schedule your test again, you will need to purchase a new exam through AAPC. Plan your rescheduling requests in advance to avoid being marked as a no-show.
In exceptional circumstances, such as documented medical emergencies or other urgent matters, your exam voucher may be reinstated for a $100 fee. Approval for reinstatement is not guaranteed and is subject to review by the Exams department.
Exceptions to the 48-Hour Policy
Exceptions to the 48-hour policy may be granted for documented emergencies, such as:
Medical emergencies: Submit a doctor’s note explaining your inability to attend the exam. The note will be reviewed by the Exams department, and your exam voucher may be reinstated for a $100 fee.
Other urgent matters: Provide relevant documentation (e.g., a letter from a daycare or power company) to support your case. Email the documentation to AAPC for review. Approval for exceptions is not guaranteed and is subject to review by the Exams department.
