Code Connect: CPT® Assistant Search Guide

CPT® Assistant is the official word from the AMA on proper CPT® code usage. Codify's CPT® Assistant add-on allows you to search all CPT® Assistant articles from 1990 to present by CPT® code to narrow the options to only related articles for quick coding guidance.

To access the CPT® Assistant search feature, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Codify account and navigate to the 'Publications' tab.

2. Under the 'Publications' tab, click on 'AMA CPT Assistant'.

3. Enter your keyword or code in the search bar and click 'Search'.

4. You can narrow down your search by year and quarter using the filters on the left side of the page.

5. To see a list of articles within a specific quarter, simply expand the quarter range by clicking on the arrow next to the quarter.

6. You can also download and print the articles for your reference.

7. Additionally, you can find CPT Assistant articles on the code details page under the 'Related Articles' tab.

8. When using the NCCI Checker, you may also come across CPT Assistant articles in the results.

9. Please note that the Code Connect: CPT Assistant Search feature is only available for Pro Fee or Complete Coder annual subscriptions.
