Anesthesia CPT Codes

Are you looking for a comprehensive online solution for all your anesthesia coding needs? Look no further than the Anesthesia Expert online tool. This tool combines the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) coding resources, including the ASA CROSSWALK®, ASA Reverse CROSSWALK®, and Relative Value Guide®, with an anesthesia fee calculator. With the fee schedule feature, you can easily calculate the anesthesia fee by inputting the anesthesia start and stop times, physical status modifiers, varied time units, and conversion factors.

What's Included in this Add-On?

  • CPT®-ASA Crosswalk

  • ASA base unit values

  • Fee calculator including physical status modifiers, varied units, and conversion factors

  • Convenient access to all features from one location

On the main home page, you will find two crosswalks that allow you to easily navigate between the different resources.

How to Use the Fee Calculator

To use the fee calculator, simply enter your CPT code and click 'Submit'. The results will include the 2023 conversion factor, anesthesia start and end times, patient status modifier, and per unit time.

You also have the option to change the carrier or locality for more accurate results.

If the anesthesia time is longer than 23 hours and 59 minutes, you will need to include the start and end dates.

Accessing the Anesthesia Widget

The Anesthesia widget allows you to enter an anesthesia code and then select your carrier or locality for accurate coding.

If you do not see these widgets on your homepage, click the 'Customize' button and make sure the boxes are selected.

You can also access the Anesthesia crosswalk on the code details page for quick reference.
