Any time an order needs to be reviewed on our end, we will let you know by placing that order under the instruction as “Pending ABC Review” or “Hold pending review of non-service.” These orders are regularly reviewed within 2 business days. If the review takes longer than this, it is likely due to a backlog in the review team, and unfortunately, support agents cannot expedite the process.
What Should I Do If I See This?
If you see a review instruction in ABC Mobile, then we are already looking at the order, and you should have a proof to sign or further instructions shortly. Additionally, do not attempt service while the job is marked as "Pending Review."
No action is necessary of you at this time.
⚠️ If a job is awaiting ABC review, Process Server Support will be unable to provide assistance until the respective department has completed its review.
Types of Review
Missed Requirement: When any requirement is missed on a service, we will want to review the order before generating the proof of service. Once approved, the system automatically generates the proof, and the job proceeds.
Initial Review: Every process server goes through an Initial Review Period during which all services will be manually reviewed.
Further Investigation: In certain cases, we will review an order to offer additional guidance for a successful service. Alternatively, we may return it to your list to request further clarification for ABC.- Alternative Service Workflow: For jobs requiring alternative service, the process involves two stages: 1. After initial service attempts, half of the payment is generated, and the attempts are used to petition the court for alternative service. 2. The job remains in "Pending" status until the court-related steps are completed. Once resolved, the second half of the payment is processed.
How Can I Prevent Jobs from Pending?
When a job is queued for manual review by ABC, it is not always a cause for concern. However, avoiding common errors can help prevent delays in order resolution. These include:
✅ Following attempt reporting requirements.
✅ Staying away from service restrictions.
✅ Documenting everything that occurred during the attempt - no note is too small! The more information we have, the better.
