Enable pickup point selection with PostNord TA or Shipmondo

Let the customer choose a pickup location and verify that the same point is carried over to the correct shipping product.

Let the customer choose a pickup location and verify that the same point is carried over to the correct shipping product.

This guide applies to administrators with an active PostNord TA or Shipmondo integration and custom delivery methods in Abicart. Basic support for pickup point selection is available in Go, Plus, and Pro, but the provider integration and carrier agreement are required separately. Pro includes an option for extended TA where PostNord/Shipmondo are alternatives. A checkout selection is not a booked or paid shipping label.

1. Select the correct shipping flow

Confirm the integration, transport product, and correct store. The steps below do not apply to KSA's own pickup point flow or standalone nShift Delivery. The standalone nShift module does not automatically add service locations at checkout.

If the store uses KSA, follow its separate deactivation/switching guide and ensure that a working alternative is in place before you switch. Changing the master TMS can have profile consequences; do not treat it as a harmless checkbox.

2. Enable pickup points on the delivery method

  1. Open Settings → Shipping and edit the correct delivery method.

  2. Select Let the user choose a pickup location and save.

  1. Continue to Event settings for PostNord TA / Shipmondo.

  2. Select Enable Service Locations and save.

3. Check the tariff and delivery address

Follow the postcode step only if the store has postcode filtering, included in the current Plus and Pro plans. Basic pickup point selection is a separate feature and is also available in Go. Check whether listed postcodes are allowed or blocked. In an inclusive filter, a single * means all postcodes; with reverse logic they are blocked instead. Check both intended and excluded country/postcode combinations against the correct shipping product before activation.

  1. Open Link tariff to delivery address and select the intended country, for example, Sweden.

  2. Add the correct postal code selection. * is a broad selection; use it only when the service and your tariff apply to the entire intended area.

  3. Also check the weight and other method conditions so that the service can be displayed for the customer's address.

  4. Save and check the checkout for the correct country/postal code.

4. Check the saved selection and export

When an order includes a pickup point selection, the order/shipment must retain the correct service point ID, carrier, and the delivery address's country/postal code. A missing ID must not be replaced with an arbitrary default pickup point. Before booking, check that the export's transport product supports the customer's choice.

Saved order references remain after a global checkout change, but subsequent exports may also depend on current integration settings. Therefore, check the carrier, transport product, pickup point ID, and booking status for older orders before exporting or booking them again.

A visible pickup-location setting does not mean that PostNord TA or Shipmondo is active. Check that the correct TMS selection or add-on still applies to this store, including after a subscription change or renewal. Then check the country, postal code, shipping product and both settings. Do not set the postal-code selection to * just to hide a problem: it can make the method available to a wider area than intended. A selected pickup point is still not a booked or paid shipping label.

Quick start

  1. Confirm PostNord/Shipmondo, agreement, and the correct store.

  2. Enable both pickup location and Enable Service Locations.

  3. Check the tariff, country, postal code, and weight.

  4. Check that the correct saved pickup point ID is carried over to the export; book separately.

Subscription and access

Basic support for pickup points is available in Go, Plus, and Pro. Postcode filtering is separate and is included in the current Plus and Pro plans. PostNord/Shipmondo requires an active integration and the correct transport agreement; Pro includes an extended TA option. KSA and standalone nShift are other flows.
