Aboard takes great care to ensure your data is safe and secure. Individuals trust us with their information, we understand the level of trust that has been bestowed to us and have built a security practice worthy of that confidence.

Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability

Access to infrastructure housing customer data is limited to a select few who need it to build the product -- their authentication is a multi-step process to ensure added protection. Furthermore, there are methods in place to not only store data with high standards of protection, but also to recover and restore it in the event of any potential data corruption or loss.

Data encryption

When you use Aboard, the transmission of information between your device and our servers is protected using TLS 1.2 protocols, AES256 encryption, and SHA2 signatures.

Secure, reliable infrastructure

Aboard utilizes industry-leading Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosting infrastructure. AWS has best-in-class security and monitoring to protect Aboard infrastructure - offering around-the-clock security, biometric scanning, video surveillance and more.

Authentication

To further reduce the risk of unauthorized access to data, Aboard employs multi-factor authentication for all access to development systems, which houses our customer data.

Aboard Security Practices include:

  • Aboard uses TLS everywhere, within the data center and out.

  • All data is encrypted in transit.

  • All passwords are stored with SHA2 signatures.

  • All infrastructure is run 100% on AWS cloud (US-west) within a virtual private network that cannot be access via the public internet, except via our public-facing proxy servers.

  • Access requests logging via Cloudwatch on AWS.

  • A daily backup is performed for all production data, storing all data to disk.

  • As part of the software development process, code and configuration changes are thoroughly reviewed.

  • Aboard has a process for managing potential security incidents. In the event of an incident, affected customers will be informed within 72 hours of discovery via email from our customer support team.

Privacy at Aboard
