Change Your Abode Plan

Upgrading, downgrading, or adding a plan to your account

Written by Alex S

All Abode paid plans auto-renew on their anniversary date. You can change your plan at any time, but note that Abode does not offer prorated refunds for partial months or years.

Adding a plan for the first time

1. In the Abode app, tap the Menu icon.

2. Tap your name to open your Profile.

3. Tap Plan Details.

4. Review the available plans and subscribe to the one that suits you.

Changing your plan

The steps are the same regardless of whether you want to upgrade or downgrade. The method varies slightly depending on how your plan was originally purchased.

If your plan is billed through Abode

This applies if you purchased your plan at goabode.com or through the Abode app when first setting up your system.

1. In the Abode app, tap the Menu icon.

2. Tap your name to open your Profile.

3. Tap Plan Details.

4. Use the plans management page to upgrade or downgrade as needed.

If your plan is billed through Apple

This applies if you subscribed through the Abode app on an iPhone or iPad.

1. In the Abode app on your iOS device, tap the Menu icon.

2. Tap your name to open your Profile.

3. Tap Plan Details and use the plans management page to make changes.

If your plan is billed through Google

This applies if you subscribed through the Abode app on an Android device.

1. In the Abode app on your Android device, tap the Menu icon.

2. Tap your name to open your Profile.

3. Tap Plan Details and use the plans management page to make changes.

How upgrades are prorated

When you upgrade mid-cycle, Abode calculates the remaining days in your current billing period and applies that value as credit toward the new plan cost for the first month. For example: if you upgrade from the Standard Plan to Pro on the 15th of the month and your plan renews on the 1st, the upgrade charge for that first partial month will be reduced by the unused credit from your Standard plan. From the next billing cycle, the full Pro plan rate applies.
