Tips to Boost Forum Engagement

Sometimes your users need a little prompting to drive engagement in the forum. These are a few more tips and tricks for solving that.

Encouraging candidate engagement and fostering meaningful connections is crucial for building a vibrant early career community. Remember - it starts with your team setting expectations around participation and engagement!

Below are some prompts you can use to spark conversations among candidates in the Forum:

Sample Posts

  • Have candidates introduce themselves with a fun fact.

  • Ask where candidates are from and/or where they go to school.

  • Ask candidates what gets them most excited about joining your program.

  • Ask what hobbies side hustles, or extracurriculars candidates enjoy.

  • Pose fun questions like "What's on your bucket list this summer?" or "If you could only eat one cuisine for the rest of your life, what would it be?"

  • Gather feedback near the end of your program, asking questions like "What is (or has been) your favorite part of the internship program?"

  • Post anecdotal company updates, videos, or resources. Use the Forum as an additional reminder of the steps in your Journey Templates!

  • Encourage candidates to fill out their profiles or connect on LinkedIn

Sample Polls

  • Use the poll feature to gauge interest in event dates, times, or weekend activities. Summer baseball game, anyone?

  • Use polls to ask trivia questions about your company, pop culture, sports, and more.

  • Polls can also be used as conversation starters - survey candidates to see how excited they are to get started, what office they'll be working at, or what their favorite lunch meal is.
