A prerequisite is a unit that must be successfully completed prior to attempting another unit, as the latter unit requires the student to have already obtained particular knowledge.

When choosing what units to enrol in, please be mindful if the units you consider doing have any prerequisites, as you will not be able to apply to enrol into units you are not eligible to do.

You can refer to the relevant enrolment guide for your course to check which subjects have a prerequisite. The prerequisite(s) will be in red.

For example:

  • THE101 Christian Worldview is the prerequisite for THE201 Christian Ethics.

If you are unsure of which subjects have prerequisites, want to check which subjects you have completed, or would like further clarification, please contact student support at studentsupport@ac.edu.au.
