In the Academy, you can create Hotspot Choice questions that help learners better understand the material thanks to a visual format and direct interaction with images. This question type is ideal for creating a more interactive learning experience.

To add this question type, go to the desired test, click “Add question”, and select “Hotspot Selection”:

After that, you can add the question text and a description (if needed):

Next, you need to add an image on which the hotspots will be placed. To do this, click “Upload image” and select a file:

You can now place the required hotspots on the image. Simply click on the desired area of the image and enter a name in the field that appears:

📌 Hotspot names are visible only to administrators. Learners do not see hotspot names.

You can also adjust the position and transparency of hotspots by changing the corresponding settings:

If you add an extra hotspot, you can remove it by clicking the X icon next to the corresponding hotspot:

Once all hotspots have been added, mark the correct ones by selecting the checkboxes next to the correct answers (there may be one or multiple correct answers):

This question type can be graded either manually or automatically. During manual approval, administrators can see detailed information about the learner’s selections and the correctness of each hotspot:

📌 Learner view

When taking the test, learners can select one or more hotspots directly on the image by clicking the options they believe are correct:

If a learner needs to change their answer, they can simply click the selected hotspot again or use the X icon next to the hotspot to remove the selection:

The results for this question type are available to learners in the Results section. There, they can view detailed information about their selections and the correctness of each hotspot:
