If you don't want to make a copy of the whole course, but need only to make a copy of one lesson or quiz - "Master replica" will be the best feature for you
For this, you need to open your course, and chose arrow near "Add lesson" button. Then click on "Create a master replica"
There, write your lesson name, select Academy, chose the course, and the master lesson
In the same way, you can create a master replica of the quiz
After changing the master lesson or quiz, all next replicas will change also
But, If you want to make changes only in the replica, you should disconnect it from master and then you can edit only it
