Grouping

  1. Go to Reports and click Custom Reporting.

  2. Find the report using the filters on the left or the searchbar at the top.

  3. Click Options to the right of the report.

  4. Click Edit. This will open the Filter panel to the right of the report.

  5. Click the Columns tab on the far right of the report.

  6. To start with a blank report, uncheck the checkbox to the left of the searchbar. This will deselect all columns.

  7. To create a row group, drag and drop one of the data types into the Row Groups section.

  8. You can now see the row in the Group column on the left.

  9. To create a new row, drag and drop another data type into the Row Group and place it underneath the first.

  10. Expand each row by clicking the arrow to its left and you will now see the new row created underneath.

  11. Drag rows up or down within the Row Group section to change the order in which they are shown on the report.

To get further value out of grouping, you may want to get certain values relevant to that particular group.

To do this, drag the column whose value you wish to see for that group into the Values box that can be seen beneath the Row Groups box.

Click on a value to change its options.

  • Avg – The average value of all values within the column.

  • Count – This will count how many non blank entries are within this group.

  • First – This will display the first entry in the group.

  • Last – This will display the last entry within the group.

  • Max – This will display the largest/latest value within the group.

  • Min – This will display the smallest/earliest value within the group.

  • Sum – This will display the total value of all the other values within the group.
