Why identifying champions is important
Identifying champions increases the effectiveness of Access GCSEPod.
An advocate in each department understands their department's unique goals and how best to achieve those goals using GCSEPod.
What to do to identify champions
When you introduce AccessGCSEPod to staff, ask for a volunteer from each department to support you in your role of Access GCSEPod Lead. Promote the benefits of having a champion in each department.
Provide examples of the ideal candidate and set a deadline of when you'd like the person who volunteers to inform you that they'll be taking on the responsibility for their department.
Once a champion is confirmed, ask each department to complete an Access GCSEPod development plan and meet with the champions once per term to share progress and best practice.
Show champions how to manage their departments' use of assignments through the HoD/Manager View.
