When a Fee Earner has completed the task of sharing something through My Legal Space (MLS), the client will receive a notification email. There will be a First Time "Welcome" email and then an email notification anytime there is an update for them to view on the portal.
First Time
Your client will receive two separate emails on initial sign up. The first email will be a welcome email which will explain how they have been registered for MLS (usually through the Fee Earner). The second email will inform them of their username and password along with a link to access the web portal.
Edit Profile
Once the above emails have been received, the client will be able to login to the MLS portal. Upon first login, there will be a splash screen which gives a brief overview of the portal.

On this splash screen, on the bottom right, will be two buttons:
Password Change allows them to change their password.
Edit Profile lets the client edit their First name and Last name. It will also have a field where they can enter their mobile number as well as options for communication preferences.
βTip: If a mobile number has been entered, the client will be able to choose whether they want to receive notifications for documents or milestones via text.
