Why rolling out of self service is important

By rolling out self service to all employees, you'll save time by allowing staff to view their payslips online.

The next step in rolling out self-service would be to allow staff to submit leave requests, pay claims, and pay expenses themselves. This would reduce the time the central team spends entering the claims in bulk via batches and paper waste by eliminating the need for paper forms.

Staff can manage their details, submit pay claims, expenses, and leave. They'll be able to view sickness and view and acknowledge documents and meeting reminders.


What to do to roll out self service

  • Explain what Access Education People is and how it will benefit employees.

  • Ensure all line managers have the correct roles and permissions to approve claims, leave, etc.

  • Give the employee role the correct permissions to be able to see the relevant options within the Self-service menu.

  • Send communications to all employees on how to log into the system and access self-service; also include the mobile app QR code.
