Setting your display name and profile

Your AccountShark profile is how other users recognize you across the marketplace.

Your AccountShark profile is how other users recognize you across the marketplace.

Your display name and profile information can appear on your public profile, orders, messages, listings, reviews, and other marketplace activity.

✏️ Edit your profile

Open your User Dashboard to customize your profile.

You can update:

  • Display name

  • Profile image

  • Banner image and its position

  • Tagline

  • Accent color

  • Specialties

  • Profile handle

  • Message and profile preferences

Save your changes when you are finished. Your updated public information will appear anywhere your AccountShark profile is shown.

👤 Choosing a display name

Your display name is the name other users see when they interact with you on AccountShark.

Choose a name that identifies you without misleading other users.

Display names cannot:

  • Impersonate another AccountShark user or seller

  • Impersonate AccountShark staff or suggest you officially represent AccountShark

  • Contain offensive, hateful, threatening, or abusive language

  • Be deliberately misleading or designed to confuse other users

  • Advertise another marketplace, store, or service

  • Include contact information intended to move users outside AccountShark

AccountShark may remove or change profile information that violates marketplace rules.

🔗 Your profile handle

Your profile handle is different from your display name. It identifies your public AccountShark profile and is used in your profile address.

AccountShark gives you a system-generated handle by default, so you do not need to choose one when you create your account.

If you want something more recognizable, you can customize your handle from your User Dashboard.

Changing your display name does not automatically change your profile handle. If you want the two to match, update the handle separately.

🖼️ Building your public profile

Sellers and boosters can use their profile to show buyers more about what they offer.

Use your tagline, images, and specialties to highlight the games and services you actually provide. Keep claims accurate and avoid anything that could mislead buyers about your experience, status, or relationship with AccountShark.

Your profile complements your listings. It does not replace the information and disclosures required on individual listings.

See Setting up your AccountShark profile for the complete profile walkthrough.

🔒 Keep personal information private

Your public profile is visible to other users, so do not use it to share private contact or security information.

Do not include:

  • Email addresses

  • Discord usernames or invite links

  • Phone numbers

  • External messaging accounts

  • Payment information

  • Passwords or account credentials

  • Recovery or backup codes

  • Identity documents

Keep transaction communication inside AccountShark rather than directing buyers or sellers somewhere else.

Identity verification and other sensitive information use their own secure AccountShark processes and should never be placed on your public profile.
