AccountShark requires identity verification to know who is actually selling, supplying currency, or providing services on the marketplace.
Digital goods can change hands quickly and are difficult to recover once delivered. Verification gives AccountShark a verified person behind each provider account, helps prevent fraud and duplicate identities, and gives us a way to hold sellers accountable when something goes seriously wrong.
𪪠Who needs to verify?
Identity verification is required for providers who earn through AccountShark, including:
Account sellers
Currency suppliers
Boosters
Currency suppliers and boosters go through their own approval and onboarding processes, while account sellers verify as part of becoming eligible to sell.
You must complete verification using your own identity. Another person cannot verify an AccountShark account on your behalf.
đ Why AccountShark requires it
Verification helps us:
Confirm that a provider is a real person.
Prevent one person from operating multiple seller identities to avoid restrictions.
Reduce fraud, scams, and abuse.
Hold providers accountable for the products and services they deliver.
Protect payouts and sensitive seller functions.
Investigate serious problems when they occur.
It is especially important for new providers. A seller may not have much order history yet, but they still enter the marketplace through the same identity and provider checks required for their role.
â° When do I verify?
Complete verification when AccountShark asks for it during seller or provider onboarding.
Do it before accepting or delivering work that requires an approved provider account. Verification should never be something left until after you have completed an order and are waiting to be paid.
You normally only need to complete the identity check once, although AccountShark may require verification again when necessary for security or compliance.
đ How is my identity checked?
Verification takes place through AccountShark's identity-verification flow using a third-party verification provider.
Depending on the check, you may be asked for a valid government-issued identity document and other information needed to confirm that you are the person shown on it.
AccountShark uses the verification result to determine whether your provider account can be approved.
â ď¸ Only verify through AccountShark
Only submit identity information through the official verification flow.
AccountShark staff will never ask you to send an identity document through order chat, Discord, or an informal message.
Do not send someone a photograph of your ID because they claim they need it to approve a listing, release a payout, or activate your seller account.
If you receive a request like that, do not send anything and report it to AccountShark.
â Frequently asked questions
Do buyers see my identity?
No. Identity verification is an AccountShark provider requirement. Your identity documents are not displayed to buyers on your public profile.
Can someone else verify for me?
No. Verification must belong to the person operating the AccountShark account.
Using another person's identity or attempting to circumvent verification can result in your ability to sell being restricted or your account being suspended.
Why do I need verification if I am a legitimate seller?
The requirement applies to providers generally rather than only to accounts AccountShark already suspects of wrongdoing.
Using the same verification standard gives AccountShark a consistent way to identify providers, investigate problems, and enforce marketplace rules.
