How to add, edit and select options to Acelab Fields!

You may sometimes need to add custom options to the Acelab fields in your project specifications. Our "Select + Add/Edit Option" functionality in Acelab Fields gives you the flexibility to do just that. This guide will walk you through the process of adding, editing, and selecting options to enhance your project planning.

What You Need to Know

User Permissions

  • Only Admins, Creators, and Editors of the Project can add, remove, or select options in Acelab Fields.

Types of Fields

  • This feature is applicable to Default Acelab Fields in both list and number formats.

  • You can add options for Acelab Products only.

How to Add Options

  1. Initially, you will see the current options available.

  2. Click on cell to add an Option:

    • Click the '+' component to add a new option.

    • Type in your desired option and click 'Add Option'.

How to Select Options

  1. Initially, you will see all the current options available. To select option, you can remove all other option.

  2. Remove an Option:

    • Click the 'x' next to the option to remove it.

    • Note: Options are not permanently deleted; they can be switched out later.

How to Edit Options

Note : You can only Edit added Option.

  1. When you click on cell, click the '+' component, you will see list of option with an 'Edit' button for options you have added.

    • Click 'Edit' to open the Edit Options modal.

    • Here, you can rename your option and click 'Save'.

      OR

    • Deleting Options:

      • You can delete an option only if it is not in use in this project or any other projects.

      • If an option is in use, a pop-up error will display with a list of projects where the option is active.

      • If the option is free of usage, you can delete it.

Adding options to Acelab Fields enables you to customize your projects more effectively. By following the steps in this guide, you can easily manage your options and make your schedules more adaptable to your needs.
