Saving a Product Search

Learn how to save your search results so you and your team can get back to it.

Updated today

Saving searches with specific naming conventions to a project can help keep your team organized. Saved searches can be accessed at anytime by project collaborators.

How to Save a Search

At the end of a Product Search, when you get to the results displaying products based on your criteria or filters, you have the option to save it.

  • Click on the Export & Share button on right of the toolbar to save the search

  • Select the project you want to save search to

    • These are some of the options for where to save your search:

      • General Research: A General Research folder is created for each user upon sign-up. This folder is best used for broad research and exploration

      • Firm Library: While you can save searches to the Firm Library, we recommend to only save products. Save the search to this folder only if you wan to make sure the entire firm has access to the results and they do not belong to a particular project

      • Project (ex: Button Street): Saving a search to a specific project is helpful for organization and collaboration. You and your collaborators can view the search and continue to refine choices

  • Click on Save Search

  • Give the search a name

    • We recommend being as specific as possible. For example, 'Exterior Doors' is helpful but even more helpful would be 'Exterior Doors | Patio' or 'Exterior Doors | Front Door'. You could also add the coordinating tag from your drawing set to keep things even more organized. Such as 'Exterior Door | Front | A-D-01'

  • Select Continue

  • You'll see confirmation that the save was successful

  • Go back to the search or Go to the Project where it was saved

How to Access Saved Searches

Saved Searches are stored in your project's Search History.

  • Click on Search History in the left-side menu

  • Searches are organized by product categories, displayed at the top bar

  • Choose the category you are looking for

  • All searches for that category will be listed

  • You'll see the filters that were selected and the number of products in the search results

  • Click on the search name or the link with the number products to open the search

  • Click on the filters to change them and keep refining your search
