Summary

The Conversations feature lets you communicate with architects without leaving the Acelab dashboard. Every message thread is tied to a lead, so context stays connected β€” you can see who the architect is, what project they're working on, and your full communication history in one place.

Before You Begin

Conversations are available for leads in the Recommendation stage and above, where an architect has initiated or been connected to a direct exchange. Not all leads will have a conversation attached.

Accessing Conversations

There are two ways to access conversations:

From a lead card: Click the messenger icon on any lead card that has an active conversation. A red dot on the icon means there are unread messages. Clicking the icon takes you directly to that conversation thread.

From the Conversations page: Click Conversations in the left-side navigation to open the full conversations view.

The Conversations Overview

The Conversations page shows all architect threads in one place, with an overview board at the top displaying totals by status:

Status

What it means

New Inquiry

A message has come in that hasn't been opened or acted on yet

Processing Inquiry

The conversation is being handled by your team

Awaiting Reply

Your team has responded and is waiting to hear back

Completed

The conversation has been resolved

On Hold

The conversation is paused

Below the overview board, each conversation is listed with:

  • Architect's name

  • Architecture Firm name and location

  • Project information (if available)

  • Assigned contact owner

  • Last Activity date

Click any row to open the full conversation thread.

Responding to a Conversation

Once inside a conversation thread, you can read the full message history and send a text reply and/or an attachment. Responses are sent directly to the architect through the Acelab platform.

Add a team member to conversation

Need assistance from a team member? In a conversation, you can add additional reps/team members.

  1. Go to the people section of the conversation

  2. Click Add a Person. This opens a dropdowns containing all of the reps available in your company. Add as many people as you like.

  3. The added rep will see the conversation appear in their Conversation page, too. They will be able to send messages and look at project details.

πŸ’‘ As an Acelab partner, you will also receive messages by email, and you can also reply to messages via email! Check out this article for more information.
