Managing Product Channel Mapping in the Acenda Admin Tool
Managing Product Channel Mapping in the Acenda Admin Tool
Efficiently control how your products are listed across various sales channels directly within the Acenda admin tool. This method allows you to manage syndication settings on a per-product, per-channel basis, eliminating the need for import/export processes for these adjustments.
How to Adjust Channel Mapping for a Product:
Locate Your Product:
In the Acenda Admin, navigate to the "Items" section.
Find and select the specific product you wish to manage. This will open the product's details page.
Access the Channel Mapping Tab:
On the product's details page, look for a tab or section labeled "Channel Mapping" (or a similar term like "Sales Channel Settings," "Syndication," or "Listings"). Click on this tab.
Edit Channel-Specific Settings:
Within the Channel Mapping tab, you will typically see a list of your connected subscriptions (sales channels) where this product can be listed.
For each subscription (sales channel) you want to configure:
Click the "Edit" button or icon associated with that specific sales channel.
Adjust Listing Action and Other Settings:
Once in the edit mode for a specific channel, you can adjust its syndication settings:
Listing Action: This crucial setting determines the status of your product on that particular marketplace. Common options include:
FULL: Sends the complete product listing content to the marketplace.
ZERO: Sends the full product content but with an inventory level of 0 (regardless of actual stock levels). This can be useful for temporarily pausing sales on a channel without removing the listing.
UNLIST (or RETIRE): Removes or deactivates the product listing from that specific marketplace.
Note on Unlisting: Acenda generally discourages deleting items outright, as it is much healthier for database integrity to retain item data. Instead, use the UNLIST status to remove a product from a sales channel.
Please allow up to 24 hours for an UNLIST update to be reflected on the sales channel.
You can reverse an UNLIST action by changing the status back to FULL. However, in this case, it may take the sales channel up to 5 business days to fully restore the listing.
Manage Multiple Channels:
You can repeat step 4 for each subscription (sales channel) listed under the product's Channel Mapping tab. This allows you to have different listing actions or posting templates for the same product on different marketplaces, providing granular control over your multi-channel strategy.
Update Your Changes:
After making the necessary adjustments for one or more channels, ensure you click the "Update" button to store your new channel mapping configurations for the product.
