Channel Events FAQ

This guide explains how to use the Channel Events feature to track updates pushed to your sales channels.

What are Channel Events?

Channel Events track all updates and changes pushed from Acenda to your connected retail channels and marketplaces (e.g., Target+, Amazon). It’s a log of the data sent to the channel.

This is different from the Change Log, which tracks changes made to a product within the Acenda platform itself.

How do I find Channel Events?

You can access Channel Events in two primary locations: at the integration level or at the individual item level.

A. At the Integration Level

This view shows you all events for a single, specific retail channel.

  1. Navigate to Admin > Integrations.

  2. Select the integration you want to review (e.g., Target+).

  3. Click the Channel Events tab.

From this screen, you can:

  • Filter the events to narrow your results.

  • Search for specific updates. πŸ” Note: The search field uses the Acenda Product ID value from your catalog. It does not currently search by SKU or UPC.

  • Click Details to view the raw API script that was sent for that event.

  • Click Export CSV to download the data for analysis in Microsoft Excel.

B. At the Item Level

This view shows you all channel events for a single product.

  1. Navigate to Admin > Items.

  2. Search for and select the product you want to review.

  3. Click the Channel Events tab.

What about changes to product variants?

Changes made at the variant level may sometimes appear on the parent product's event log instead of the variant's.

To locate these events:

  1. Go to the variant item's page in Acenda.

  2. Click the Parents tab to identify its parent product.

  3. Navigate to the parent product's page and view its Channel Events tab.

If a variant has no parent product, we recommend waiting 24 hours for the event to appear on the variant's page.

Important Notes & Disclaimers ⚠️

Please keep the following in mind when using the Channel Events feature:

  • Time Delay: Allow up to 24 hours for events to appear in the log after a change is made. This is due to both internal Acenda queues and external processing queues on the marketplace's end.

  • Data Accuracy: We make no guarantee as to the accuracy of the data presented in the Channel Events log.

  • Data Retention: This data will be periodically purged from our system. No guarantees are made regarding the retention period for these records.

  • Immutability: Event records cannot be deleted.
